The following private policy applies to the Japanese Association of Family Therapy (hereinafter referred to as “JAFT”). The JAFT facilitates the protection of private information by constructing a system of protection of private information and thoroughly makes all its’ members recognize the importance of the protection of private information and encourages them to work accordingly.

Management of private information
The JAFT is committed to store and manage any private information in a strict manner. This is ensured by maintaining an adequate security system, facilitating management system and by educating our members in order to prevent any loss, manipulation, leakage or unauthorized access to private information.

How we use your data
The JAFT uses the private information provided to contact the respective person via e-mail in order to provide information about our association or answers to any questions.

Prohibition from disclosure and provision of private information to third parties
The JAFT appropriately manages private information and never discloses private information, excluding the specific case mentioned below.

Disclosure in case of consent
In the case of explicit consent, the JAFT may share the entrusted information with third parties in order to provide the service desired by the person giving consent. The JAFT may also need to disclose information in order to comply with the law in case of a legal request.

For security of private information
The JAFT is committed to maintain the security and protection of any entrusted private information and to verify that any private information we use is correct.

Personal inquiry
If a member has an inquiry to modify or delete his/her private information, he/she must provide legal identification in order for us to proceed with the inquiry.

Legal compliance and revision of the private policy
JAFT operates under Japanese law and continuously revises the contents of this private policy in order to comply with the legal requirements of Japan.
